About the position

The Longitudinal Data Analyst position at the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) within the State Budget Office of Michigan involves performing analytical and reporting services related to education data. The role focuses on managing, collecting, and reporting data from the Michigan Statewide Longitudinal Data System (MSLDS) and requires collaboration with stakeholders to meet their data needs. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for remote work up to four days a week, and is designed for individuals with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and reporting services from the Michigan Statewide Longitudinal Data System (MSLDS).
  • Meet with stakeholders to collect business requirements and create solutions that meet their data needs.
  • Assist in the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the MSLDS, including designing and testing data loads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any major.
  • 1 year of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 10 level.
  • 2 years of professional experience for Departmental Analyst P11 level, including 1 year at the intermediate (10) level in state service.
