About the position

The Videographer and Storyteller position involves creating compelling video news profiles for a local news publisher. The role focuses on producing and editing video stories about local subjects, business owners, and non-profits, particularly for a special project scheduled from late December to early February.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit 2.5-minute video profiles of five local non-profit organizations.
• Conduct interviews and ask insightful questions to gather relevant content.
• Capture high-quality video footage and b-roll to enhance storytelling.
• Collaborate with the publisher to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
• Receive production credit for published work on prominent websites.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer, filmmaker, or video journalist.
• Strong skills in video editing and storytelling.
• Ability to ask the right questions during interviews.
• Proficiency in capturing high-quality video and b-roll.

Nice-to-haves
