About the position

The Experienced Software Engineer / Web Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining web applications for both intranet and extranet environments using C# .NET and SQL. This role involves supporting web architecture, legacy applications, and enterprise-wide software upgrades, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop C# .NET applications using Visual Studio 2010 or higher.
• Use SVN, JIRA, and Remedy for source control and issue tracking.
• Evaluate and recommend web architecture and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot web applications developed in-house and by external developers.
• Provide web application support for individual users and enterprise-wide applications used by the division.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Software Engineering (BSSE), or equivalent.
• Five years of experience with C#.
• Experience with JavaScript and JQuery.
• Experience with AJAX and web services.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and software lead experience.
• Good organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with teams and individuals.
• Ability to learn new skills and embrace new technologies.
• Experience in gathering and interpreting requirements.
• Familiarity with source control systems.
• Ability to review code, locate problems, and provide and receive feedback on code.
• Self-starter with the ability to solve problems quickly.
• Ability to create user-friendly front ends and write maintainable code.
