About the position

We are seeking a Java Developer to join our team in a hybrid work model based in Okemos, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java/J2EE and experience with REST services, SQL, and front-end technologies such as Angular and Typescript. This role involves developing and maintaining applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using Core Java/J2EE.
• Design and implement RESTful services for application integration.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using Angular and Typescript.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Implement CI/CD practices to streamline deployment processes.
• Work with DevOps practices to enhance application delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Core Java/J2EE development.
• Strong knowledge of REST services and API design.
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL for database interactions.
• Familiarity with Angular 2+ and Typescript for front-end development.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS for web application design.
• Experience with Oracle or any relational database management system.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Unix and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization.
