About the position

The Warehouse/Forklift Driver position at Wintersun Chemical involves managing the receipt and dispatch of chemical products in a warehouse setting. The role requires operating forklifts to load and unload containers, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This full-time position offers opportunities for growth and is essential for the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Identify all incoming and outgoing products according to paperwork (packing list, certificate of analysis, bill of lading, etc.)
• Double check for rips or damage and report any issues to the purchasing department.
• Clean and maintain the warehouse daily.
• Pull daily orders using a sit-down forklift.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals like totes, drums, and bags.
• Empty trash cans when full.
• Report damaged pallets and address issues immediately before putting them in stock.
• Fix and rework any ripped stacks of pallets, ensuring they are secure and properly wrapped.
• Keep all exit doors clear for access at all times.
• Check warehouse racks daily for spilled products or leaking, ripped, or broken bags/drums/totes.

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Certification
• At least 1 year of Forklift and Stand Up Reach Experience
• At least 1 year of Warehouse and Logistics Experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Great communication skills
• Team player

• Attention to detail
• Confidentiality

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hazardous materials preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of SKYPE Messenger
