About the position

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of marketing plans for the Los Angeles Lifesaving Center.
• Create and implement content calendars and marketing campaigns for Best Friends initiatives.
• Establish and foster relationships with local media, companies, and NGOs to promote the brand and mission.
• Connect program and marketing calendars to ensure cohesive messaging and engagement.
• Serve as the marketing lead for local media interviews and community engagement efforts.
• Focus on prospecting new customers and re-engaging existing ones through consistent branding and emotional connections.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing employees and teams.
• 5-10 years in a marketing role or advertising agency, with experience in brick-and-mortar marketing.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Experience with community engagement and driving foot traffic to physical locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools like Asana and Trello.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred but not required.
• Experience working with non-profits is a plus.
• Prior experience in animal welfare through volunteering or employment is a plus.
