About the position

We're looking for someone from a customer service background with experience mitigating losses through accuracy and adherence with mortgage insurance policies and procedures, internal controls and regulatory guidelines. This person will be responsible for reviewing and decisioning workout files and providing Mortgage Insurer decision to Mortgage Servicers. They will manage all aspects of customer service to include: Responding promptly to customer inquiries through various channels, obtaining and evaluating all relevant information to handle customer requests both internal and external, and troubleshooting customer problems of varying degrees and complexity. Must have strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and decision workout files.
  • Provide Mortgage Insurer decisions to Mortgage Servicers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries through various channels.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle customer requests.
  • Troubleshoot customer problems of varying degrees and complexity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Loss Mitigation experience with an established mortgage insurer or mortgage banking organization.
  • High school diploma (required).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong analytic and analysis skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with lending-related terminology and processes, especially related to mortgage delinquency.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential customer and company information.
  • Ability to follow instructions but work with minimal direct supervision.
