About the position

The Loss Prevention-Asset Protection Investigator at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is a full-time role focused on safeguarding store assets and ensuring operational accountability. This position involves working closely with the Risk Asset Protection Manager to implement strategies aimed at reducing theft and enhancing safety protocols across store locations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts surveillance of the store and utilizes the CCTV system to identify, observe, and deter theft.
• Partners with store management to meet strategic asset protection goals and awareness.
• Provides training to store personnel on safety compliance and operational audits.
• Conducts investigations and interviews related to inventory and cash loss, as well as company policy violations.
• Ensures security standards are maintained and adhered to at all times.
• Maintains the integrity of physical inventory through daily and monthly reports and audits.
• Trains store associates on awareness and Asset Protection policies and procedures.
• Organizes and conducts annual store inventory.
• Develops shortage strategies for merchandise groups and paperwork controls.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of Asset Protection experience in a large volume retail environment.
• Ability to quickly learn store standards, procedures, and customer flow.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• In-depth knowledge of criminal and civil processes and proceedings.
• Working knowledge of retail security and information systems.
• Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite and field-represented software programs.
• Ability to speak, read, and communicate in English.
