About the position

The Loss Prevention Officer III at New Balance is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of company properties and personnel. This role involves monitoring alarm signals, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. The officer will manage various security programs, conduct patrols, and assist in training new security personnel, all while working the night shift from 9 PM to 5 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external New Balance customers.
  • Respond to local incidents in person, making critical decisions and controlling situations.
  • Control local access from front desk security posts and navigate visitor management software.
  • Manage one or more security programs such as photo ID enforcement and emergency evacuation planning.
  • Monitor and respond to door alarm and card swipe activity for multiple locations.
  • Access video for live monitoring and recorded playback for security purposes.
  • File comprehensive reports for all incidents and monitor report inbox daily.
  • Serve as application sub-administrator for security systems and assist with user management.
  • Review and prioritize incoming incident reports and service requests.
  • Assist with training new contract security officers as needed.
  • Perform container inspections and report discrepancies in compliance with CTPAT program.
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols to ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
  • Open and close buildings as scheduled and participate in fire protection programs.
  • Assist in crime prevention and confidential investigative work as directed.

Requirements

  • Skill with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with computer networking.
  • Proficient in navigating multiple software-based security systems.
  • Knowledge of security systems operations and maintenance.
  • End user knowledge and experience with security systems; administrator experience is desirable.
  • Professional email communication and report writing proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and phone required.
  • Ability to conduct extensive interior and exterior walking patrols.
