About The Position
The Loss Prevention Specialist at Foodland is a vital role focused on maintaining a safe shopping environment for both customers and employees. This position is responsible for protecting the company's assets and ensuring that all store operations comply with safety and security protocols. The specialist will act as a deterrent against theft, greeting customers as they enter and exit the store, and providing exceptional customer service to discourage potential shoplifters. The role requires vigilance in monitoring store activities to prevent merchandise theft and shrinkage, as well as documenting any theft incidents or noteworthy occurrences accurately. In addition to theft prevention, the Loss Prevention Specialist will assist undercover Loss Prevention Agents during shoplifting incidents and serve as a witness when necessary. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining public order within the store, addressing any unsafe situations, and ensuring that the store environment is clean and free of hazards such as spills or debris. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as the specialist will listen to customer concerns and respond appropriately, all while adhering to the company's Hoaloha standards in every interaction. The role is full-time and may require the individual to provide coverage at other locations as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for those who have prior experience in security and customer service. A Hawaii Guard Card and TB clearance are also required for this position, which emphasizes the importance of safety and compliance in the workplace.
