About the position
The position involves supporting the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management at Marshalls by acting as a visual deterrent to prevent loss and dishonesty. The role emphasizes maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers while ensuring safety and adherence to company policies. The employee will wear a body-worn camera and engage with customers, report suspicious behavior, and assist in maintaining store security.
Responsibilities
- Support the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management in executing core responsibilities.
- Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss and dishonesty.
- Wear a complete company-approved uniform including a body-worn camera.
- Greet customers appropriately and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
- Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department.
- Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring them to store management or customer service via a company-issued radio.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or store management.
- Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management.
- Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to take initiative and perform well independently.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- 0-2 years of retail or security experience.
