About the position

ADESA is seeking a dedicated Lot Assistant to join our Lot Team in Hutchins, TX. This position is ideal for car enthusiasts who thrive in a fast-paced team environment. As a Lot Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our inventory is organized and properly designated throughout the lot. Your responsibilities will include moving vehicles that require services from various shops, such as the Mechanical Services Shop, Body Shop, or Detail Shop, to the appropriate staging areas at the required times. You will also be responsible for placing stickers on factory and company vehicles, locating cars without keys, and ensuring that vehicles are numbered and placed correctly on the lot. In addition to these tasks, you will work closely with the Key Tech to ensure that lost keys are created and assigned to the appropriate vehicles. Tracking missing units and assisting transporters in locating vehicles will also be part of your duties. Maintaining a clean and organized lot is essential, and you will be expected to uphold these standards at all times. This role requires basic computer skills and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assuring the inventory is in the proper designated areas of the lot at all times.
  • Move vehicles requiring services from Mechanical Services Shop, Body Shop or Detail Shop to the proper staging areas at the required time.
  • Place stickers on factory and company vehicles.
  • Locate cars without keys.
  • Locate, number and place vehicles on spot.
  • Work with Key Tech to ensure lost keys are created and assigned to appropriate vehicle.
  • Track missing units and assist transporters in locating vehicles.
  • Ensuring the lot is clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
