The Lottery Technical Support Quality Assurance Analyst 1 position within the Revenue - Lottery Commission in Kanawha County, WV, is a full-time permanent role focused on ensuring the functionality and quality of lottery games and platforms. The primary responsibilities include executing test cases, scripts, and scenarios to verify the performance of various lottery systems. The analyst will learn to identify and document any flaws, glitches, or issues encountered during testing, collaborating closely with both the Lottery and vendor QA teams to reproduce and troubleshoot reported problems and defects. In addition to testing, the analyst will analyze data related to game outcomes, payout structures, and player behavior, generating reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for improvement. The role also involves reviewing software requirements and contributing input during the creation of testing plans and scripts. Documentation is a key aspect of this position, as the analyst will be responsible for recording test cases, procedures, and results for future reference. Effective communication of findings, recommendations, and issues to relevant stakeholders is essential. Furthermore, the analyst will test user interfaces for usability, functionality, and consistency across various gaming devices and platforms. Candidates should be aware that they will undergo an extensive background investigation by the WV Lottery Security Division, and any individual with a conviction related to lottery law violations, felonies, or crimes associated with theft or gambling will not be eligible for employment. Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, computer engineering, electronics, network engineering, or computer systems quality assurance may substitute for the training requirement.
