About the position

The Lounge Agent is responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, making drinks, as well as serving beer, wine and other beverages. The Lounge Agent must successfully complete transactions on POS machine as well as communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and other team members as necessary. The Lounge Agent must prepare food in the BOH and deliver to appropriate table. Lounge Agent must strive to provide the highest quality of service to customers and associates at all times. Lounge Agents must also maintain restrooms, buss tables, wash dishes and sanitize food service areas and dining areas as necessary. Lounge Agents must perform all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and takes food/drink orders
  • Provides information about products and looks for opportunity to 'up-sell' products
  • Follows recipes and/or product directions for mixing beverages
  • Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing small food plate/entrees
  • Collects payments and operates POS registers for drinks and/or food served, following company policies and procedures for all transactions; secures all monies at the end of each shift
  • Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication
  • Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar and dining areas
  • Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked kitchen & work station(s)
  • Clears unnecessary items from tables as needed; pre-bussing, bussing and wiping down tables
  • Communicate effectively with team
  • Maintain awareness of factors such as food safety and the temperature of the food
  • Ensure order is complete before it is delivered to the table
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
  • Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, sheet pans, trays, and other items using a dishwasher system or by hand according to health safety standards
  • Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Sorts and removes trash and any large food particles, placing it in designated trash areas as needed
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and dries floors as needed
  • Transfers supplies, equipment or product between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
  • Attends all scheduled employee mandatory meetings and offers suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinates with and assists fellow employees to meet guest needs and support the operation of the lounge
  • Fills-in for coworkers where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are maintained
  • Cleans, maintains and stocks restrooms, shower and personal hygiene areas as needed

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school graduate or G.E.D equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • English proficient, other languages are a plus
  • Computer savvy
