About the position

The Low Code Developer - Mobile Engagement and RPA Specialist role at UW Health focuses on advancing patient care through innovative technology solutions, particularly in mobile engagement and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This full-time position involves developing and implementing low-code applications and RPA solutions to streamline healthcare operations and enhance patient experiences. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure technology integrations align with organizational goals, while also maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement RPA solutions using tools like UiPath to streamline business processes and reduce manual workloads.
  • Work closely with external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure digital solutions align with clinical and operational needs while maintaining a focus on user experience.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with clinical, business, and operations leaders to optimize technology capabilities and address evolving needs.
  • Ensure all technology solutions adhere to data security standards, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in application and process design and code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all applications and automated processes, such as process maps, flow charts, process definition documents (PDD), and solution design documents (SDD).
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital health initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide ongoing support for deployed applications, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high levels of system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated success developing applications and automated processes using low code and automation development platforms including design, development, testing, and release.
  • Demonstrated success utilizing professional software engineering practices such as coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
  • Demonstrated success consuming web services within low code applications and automation solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure or other cloud platform services.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications in a 24x7x365 environment.
