About the position
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team at Superior Communications, LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems in various business settings. This role requires a strong technical aptitude and good reasoning skills, with training provided for the right candidate. The technician will work with various low voltage systems, including data networking and security systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain low voltage systems including data networking, CAT5 & CAT 6 cabling, network infrastructure, security alarm, surveillance camera systems, and access control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Perform cabling and wiring tasks.
- Program and configure low voltage equipment.
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and regulations.
Requirements
- Driver's License
- Electrical systems knowledge
- Computer networking knowledge
- Experience with power tools
- Low voltage cabling experience
- Service technician experience
