About the position

The Low Voltage Technician at DAS Integrators is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including coaxial cabling, in various construction environments. This role requires reading design documents, performing cable sweeps, and ensuring high-quality system performance. The technician will work closely with peers and report to the Tech 3 or Construction Manager, contributing to the successful deployment of systems while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Read design documents and understand project specifications.
• Install and troubleshoot low voltage systems and coaxial cabling.
• Perform cable sweeps and collect relevant data using test equipment.
• Complete daily reporting and project documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide high-level service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete duties within allotted time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Electrical experience and knowledge of low voltage systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and climb ladders over 8 feet tall.
• Experience leading small to medium scale installations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience terminating and testing coaxial cables.
• Ability to train other technicians.
• Willingness to travel out of state 20% of the time.
