About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. This position will focus on the installation, maintenance, and support of surveillance camera systems, access control systems, phone systems, and security alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low voltage electrical systems and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, like Surveillance Cameras (IP & Analog), Access Control Systems, and Security Alarm Systems.
  • Train and demonstrate to the client the system's features.
  • Conduct site assessments and make recommendations to the team.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and regular maintenance on all installed systems.
  • Ensure installations are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with safety codes and industry standards.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service during installations, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and technical support staff, to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, service calls, and repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-years of experience in low voltage systems installation.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems, cabling, and connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking as it relates to surveillance cameras.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, manufacturer-specific and Illinois state certifications for the installation and support of low-voltage systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
