About the position

D & D Communications is seeking an experienced Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technician to install, pull, terminate, test, and label various types of low voltage cabling including data, coax, and fiber. The role requires a candidate with at least one year of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel for overnight jobs. The company is willing to train the right individual who shows a desire to learn the trade, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Install, pull, terminate, test, and label all types of low voltage cabling (Data, Coax, Fiber).
• Use volt and amperage meters to diagnose cabling problems.
• Quickly and accurately diagnose cabling issues and determine root causes.
• Learn new technology quickly and read prints effectively.
• Provide exceptional customer service and manage multiple priorities.
• Maintain a clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
• Keep crew vehicles clean and conduct regular vehicle maintenance checks.
• Follow specific directions and maintain proper housekeeping.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year working experience in low voltage cabling.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check, driving record check, and drug screening.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and professional demeanor.
