About The Position

The LPG Transport Driver is responsible for operating various tractor/tank truck combinations to transport, load, and unload products safely and efficiently. This role includes performing safety inspections, maintaining operational records, and adhering to DOT regulations. The driver will also be involved in training new drivers and may work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, while staying overnight in transport as required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with Hazardous Materials and Tank endorsements.
• Minimum of one year of Over the Road (OTR) or regional driving experience.
• Excellent driving/safety record.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Hazardous Material Shipping Documentation.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for routine DOT inspections.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years experience driving with chemical and/or fuel tank trailers.
• Previous driving and/or operational experience with LPG products.
• TWIC Card and LPG certification with Texas Railroad Commission.

Responsibilities

• Performs truck safety inspections and verifies product lading.
• Prepares operational and DOT forms and records.
• Utilizes ELD for daily logging and dispatch.
• Operates a variety of tractor/tank truck combinations and related mechanical devices.
• Carries out scheduled deliveries as specified by dispatchers.
• Adheres to all company and DOT safety policies and procedures.
• Loads/unloads transports with mechanical devices according to approved procedures.
• Determines vehicle safety before leaving the facility through personal inspections.
• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• May be assigned to other locations or work sites on a short-term basis.
• Provides assistance in training new drivers and retraining returning drivers.
• Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
