About the position
The LPN position at Perdue Farms involves administering medical care to associates and others as required, focusing on both work-related and non-work-related injuries or illnesses. The role includes completing physical assessments, documenting medical information, and assisting with medical cost management. The LPN will work primarily in an office and clinical environment, with some exposure to a plant environment.
Responsibilities
- Administers medical care for work or non-work related injuries or illnesses by giving first aid treatment and following appropriate medical directives.
- Documents medical information and enters data into HR/Payroll database and Occupational Health Management systems.
- Completes physical assessments and necessary forms, informing the nursing supervisor as needed.
- Assists with drug screens, TB skin testing, and wellness programs as assigned by the nursing supervisor.
- Orders medical supplies and assists with administration of medical leaves of absence under the direction of the Nurse/Wellness Center Supervisor.
- Processes physician's notes and assists staff with health improvement systems for associates.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an approved practical nursing program or AA degree in a related field.
- 5 plus years of related work experience.
- Current LPN license in the state of practice.
- Current certification in CPR in good standing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
