About the position
The LPN position at Evernorth involves overseeing and managing various administrative, clinical, and operational nursing duties within an occupational health setting. The role focuses on care coordination, worker's compensation case management, occupational medicine, medical management, prevention initiatives, and health coaching. The LPN will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees through various wellness programs and medical evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Support & coordinate care for Onsite/Near-Site Model
- Collaborate for program development including onsite preventative services and referrals
- Facilitate Worker's Comp process and manage case documentation
- Attend Plant Safety Meetings and review injuries
- Educate employees on safe work environments and prevention
- Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses within nursing scope
- Assist in medical emergencies and perform basic wound care
- Coordinate wellness campaigns and health opportunities
- Promote immunizations and health education initiatives
- Coordinate onsite health events such as blood drives and mammography.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in North Carolina
- Experience in occupational health or a related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of worker's compensation processes and guidelines
- Basic understanding of medical management and emergency response.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with health coaching or wellness programs
- Familiarity with case management in occupational health
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Experience in a corporate or industrial health setting.
