About the position
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a 140-bed facility in Quakertown, PA, offering a flexible work schedule. The role allows LPNs to choose their shifts and work on a per diem basis, providing the opportunity to work when and how often they want. ShiftMed connects LPNs with local healthcare facilities, enabling them to deliver compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
- Taking and reporting patient vital signs.
- Administering medications as ordered and reporting adverse reactions.
- Dressing patient wounds and collecting blood and urine samples.
- Communicating effectively with patients and family members.
- Providing timely documentation that's accurate and organized.
- Restocking supplies, medications, and equipment.
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Active LPN license from the state in which you plan to work.
- Minimum 6 months of LPN work experience.
- CPR certification.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking.
- Ability to push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Annual physical and negative TB test results.
- COVID-19 Vaccination.
