About the position

The LPN position at Atrium Health One Health in Mocksville Family Medicine involves providing nursing services in a physician office or ambulatory care practice. The role focuses on improving patient care quality, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The LPN will work as part of a care team, performing various nursing tasks, documenting patient interactions, and assisting providers during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services in an office setting as part of a care team.
• Document all patient care and interactions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in telephone triage, obtaining clinically appropriate data from patients.
• Track and log laboratory and diagnostic tests, presenting results to the provider.
• Assist with pre-visit planning with the provider and care team.
• Administer medications, including injections, and check vital signs.
• Assist with reviewing medication history and updating medication lists.
• Assist providers during procedures and examinations, including room clean-up.
• Utilize standard precautions and comply with relevant policies and regulations.
• Report patient's condition and reactions to the provider after procedures or treatments.
• Assist with patient inquiries regarding prescription refills and appointment scheduling.
• Participate in electronic documentation of care as directed by the provider.
• Perform CLIA approved waived laboratory tests and Point of Care testing as applicable.
• Complete lab requisitions and prepare specimens for pick-up.
• Provide patients with Depart Summary and review at the end of the visit.
• Manage vaccine and pharmaceutical orders and monitor inventory levels.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license to practice in NC or SC.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
