About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Camillus, New York. This full-time, direct hire position offers a competitive salary and a $3000 sign-on bonus. The LPN will work Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:45 AM and 5:30 PM. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in patient care by reviewing and preparing patient charts prior to appointments, performing vital sign checks, and managing medical records. You will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and that patients receive the highest level of care during their visits. Your duties will include entering orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, obtaining insurance authorizations for tests and durable medical equipment, and acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and office staff. You will ensure smooth workflow for providers by addressing any issues that arise and notifying staff and patients of any delays. Additionally, you will collect samples, perform routine lab tests, administer medications, and maintain cleanliness in examination rooms. You will also assist providers with procedures and monitor patient satisfaction levels, reporting any complaints to the Nurse Manager or Practice Manager to ensure maximum patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess an LPN license and have at least three years of directly related experience. Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required, along with experience in electronic medical records, preferably with Epic. Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare patient charts prior to patient appointments.
  • Perform various duties related to patient appointments and medical records, including taking vital signs and documenting health history.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in EMR for routine clinical tasks such as orders and appointment management.
  • Enter orders into EMR and obtain insurance authorizations for tests and DME as indicated in provider notes.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, providers, office staff, and outside contacts.
  • Ensure smooth provider workflow by solving problems and notifying staff and patients of delays.
  • Collect samples from patients, perform routine lab tests, and administer medications.
  • Clean and restock examination rooms as needed.
  • Notify Nurse Manager of supply needs and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Work closely with Nurse Manager and/or secretary staff to address chart and scheduling issues.
  • Assist providers with procedures and prepare patients as required.
  • Anticipate both provider and patient needs to enhance care delivery.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction levels and report complaints to management.

Requirements

  • LPN license with 3 years of directly related experience.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
