About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Camillus, New York. The LPN will be responsible for preparing patient charts, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth provider workflow. This role requires proficiency in electronic medical records and the ability to act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a commitment to maintaining high patient satisfaction levels.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare patient charts prior to appointments.
• Perform various duties related to patient appointments and medical records, including taking vital signs and documenting health history.
• Demonstrate EMR proficiency for routine clinical tasks such as orders and appointment management.
• Enter orders into EMR and obtain insurance authorizations for tests and DME as indicated in provider notes.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, office staff, and outside contacts.
• Ensure smooth provider workflow by solving problems and notifying staff and patients of delays.
• Collect samples from patients, perform routine lab tests, and administer medications.
• Clean and restock rooms, notifying the Nurse Manager of supply needs.
• Work closely with Nurse Manager and secretary staff to address chart and scheduling issues.
• Assist providers with procedures and prepare patients as required.
• Monitor patient satisfaction levels and report complaints to the Nurse Manager or Practice Manager.

Requirements

• LPN license and 3 years of directly related experience.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with electronic medical records, with Epic experience preferred.
