About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at AdventHealth Medical Group plays a crucial role in providing nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director. This position emphasizes whole-person care, focusing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients. The LPN is responsible for assisting providers during patient examinations, administering treatments, and managing patient education, all while ensuring high standards of customer service and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director.
• Assist providers during the treatment and examination of patients.
• Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
• Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
• Document patient vitals and other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EMR).
• Give immunizations and ensure appropriate documentation of patient information on intake.
• Order pertinent medical supplies and maintain inventory.
• Utilize computer software for patient documentation and provide necessary documentation to patients.

Requirements

• Kansas LPN License
• Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
