About the position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Tri State Nursing offers a flexible work schedule with opportunities for part-time, full-time, PRN, and contract roles. The LPN will be responsible for providing quality care to patients in various settings, including home health care and skilled nursing facilities. This role emphasizes the importance of medication administration, patient monitoring, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; LPN diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice or compact license.
- Current TB test and physical examination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and bedside manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to travel is preferred.
