About the position
The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing general and emergency nursing care to adults and children in custody within a Corrections Facility. This position requires maintaining security standards while delivering healthcare services in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide general and emergency nursing care to individuals in custody.
- Maintain facility security standards while delivering healthcare services.
- Conduct health assessments and monitor patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements
- Possess a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
- Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
- Current CPR certification if applicable.
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
- Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
