About the position

The LPN position at Pinehurst Medical Clinic involves providing skilled nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. The LPN will be responsible for collecting and analyzing patient health data, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to achieve expected health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
  • Collect patient health data and analyze it to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and implement nursing plans of care for patients.
  • Communicate the plan of care to patients, including test results and treatment instructions.
  • Obtain, review, and complete healthcare forms related to patient needs.
  • Help maintain patient flow and workflow in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to provide high-quality service to patients.
  • Observe patients and report changes in their conditions.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs.
  • Practice safety and infection control methods.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient areas and working spaces.
  • Monitor and restock supplies and medications as necessary.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • ACLS/PALS certification required in specialty areas as determined by accrediting bodies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with an EMR system preferred.
  • Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
