The role involves floating to various primary care and specialty practices throughout Middlesex County, providing holistic nursing care while respecting the individual needs of patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process with patients and families, integrating principles that reflect sensitivity to their age-specific/developmental needs, gender, culture, religion, psychosocial and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Provide evidence-based, holistic care in a manner that respects the worth and dignity of each individual.
- Practice professional nursing as a licensed practical nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice.
- Assess health needs of patients and perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current license to practice in the State of Connecticut.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients.
