About the position
The LPN position at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher involves providing nursing care in a 25-bed swing-bed/med-surg unit. The role focuses on restoring patients to their highest level of independence in preparation for their return home after hospitalization. The position requires working as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized healthcare in a rural setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit.
- Assist in restoring patients to their highest level of independence.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver personalized healthcare.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure.
- 1 year of LPN experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts.
Nice-to-haves
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
