About the position

The LPN II position in the Emergency Room (ER) at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital involves working in a fast track setting, providing essential nursing care to patients. This full-time role requires a commitment to a 3x12 schedule from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, including every other weekend rotation. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 along with shift and weekend differentials on top of the base rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the ER fast track setting.
• Assist in the assessment and management of patients' needs.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required based on the patient population.
• Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• Specialty certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.
