About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is a part-time role focused on providing compassionate care to residents in a community setting. The LPN will be responsible for medication administration, direct care, and wellness counseling, while also supporting residents and their families. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and the promotion of quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration
• Direct care and service to residents
• Teaching and wellness counseling
• Health promotion
• Participation in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Care Director
• Support of residents and families
• Training of associates and auditing of care
• Collaborate and maintain routine communications with families and residents
• Completing monthly in-service training as required
• Participate in meetings to discuss needs and requirements of each resident and take appropriate action as needed
• Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents

Requirements

• State issued Nursing license
• Experience in working with older adults
• Good assessment and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in assisted living
