About the position

BrightStar Care Emerson is seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN or RN to provide one-on-one care for a student with special needs, specifically requiring aspiration and seizure precautions. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of the student.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for a student with aspiration and seizure precautions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per care plans.
• Assist with daily living tasks while ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
• Monitor the student's health and promptly address any medical needs.

Requirements

• Active LPN or RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (preferably in a school or pediatric setting).
• Experience with aspiration and seizure precautions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
