About the position
The LPN or Medical Assistant position at Pomerene Hospital involves providing quality nursing care in a community-focused healthcare environment. Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vitals and perform assessments.
- Chart patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Order tests and administer medications as prescribed.
- Draw blood and perform EKGs.
- Provide vaccinations and educate patients on health matters.
- Call in prescriptions as needed.
- Assist in emergency drills and situations as required.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
- Work cooperatively with unit staff, physicians, and ancillary departments.
Requirements
- Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program (Required for LPN).
- Valid State of Ohio LPN Licensure (Required for LPN).
- BLS Certification (Required, may be obtained during orientation).
- 1-3 Years of Experience in a Healthcare/Medical setting as an LPN or LVN (Preferred).
