About the position
Southern Health Partners is seeking dedicated LPN or RN Nurses for night shifts at the Montgomery County Jail in Oak Grove, Kentucky. This full-time position offers a supportive and safe environment for healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care in a correctional setting. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude while providing essential nursing services to patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, chart results, and establish nursing plans under the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines.
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Follow through with established treatment plans.
- Perform emergency intervention, physical assessment, and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Valid LPN or RN license in the state of Kentucky.
- Experience in nursing, preferably in a correctional or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
