About the position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Keystone Treatment Center involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients dealing with chemical dependency, compulsive gambling, and co-occurring mental health conditions. The role requires assessing patient needs, implementing treatment plans, and maintaining medical records while ensuring adherence to nursing standards and regulations. Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patients.
- Write and implement medical treatment plans and maintain medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
- Ensure physician's orders are legible and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Assess patient's status on an ongoing basis and document pertinent information.
- Notify physician of significant changes in patient status.
- Complete initial treatment plans upon patient admission.
Requirements
- Graduation from an NLN approved Nursing School.
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of South Dakota.
- Knowledge of Chemical Dependency, Rehabilitation, and Psychology preferred.
