About the position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at PSI, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of children in a school setting. This position involves providing nursing care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and families to ensure the best care for each child. Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care and health support to children in school settings.
• Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing basic health care needs.
• Supporting the prevention of communicable diseases and implementing protocols to maintain a safe, healthy environment.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, school staff, and families to ensure the best care for each child.
• Handling confidential information and maintaining compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
• Staying informed about medication protocols, school health practices, and other related nursing guidelines.

Requirements

• Current LPN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality (required).
• Basic knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication administration (required).
• Must have or be willing to obtain current BLS/CPR and/or First Aid certification (depending on position).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in school health or pediatric nursing is preferred, but not necessary.
