About the position

The LPN Specialized Home Coordinator position at Ohio Valley Residential Services involves managing a specialized group home for individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Prader-Willi Syndrome. The role focuses on creating a supportive environment that meets the physical, social, and psychological needs of residents while supervising staff and ensuring the implementation of individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the group home.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Prader-Willi Syndrome.
• Develop and implement individualized plans to promote residents' independence and self-sufficiency.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate direct care support staff.
• Monitor and assess the health and safety needs of residents.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care services.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date house records and documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of OVRS.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet fleet insurability requirements.
• Ability to pass required Delegated Nursing Training.
• Physical capability to assist residents, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• LPN license preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
