About the position

Dreamcare of AZ Medical Group Homes is urgently hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide essential care for special needs children and adults in a supportive environment. The role involves assisting residents in gaining life skills and medical assistance, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect. As a Group Home Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care to up to six adult residents with developmental disabilities, requiring a comprehensive understanding of each resident's needs and maintaining professional conduct and communication at all times. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, and PRN roles, with shifts available during the day and night. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff. This role is critical in fostering long-term relationships and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, helping them to achieve their fullest potential in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
  • Provide care for patients in their homes.
  • Coordinate care between other professionals as needed.
  • Perform other clinical or non-clinical duties as assigned by the group home manager.

Requirements

  • Current State Nursing License
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Valid AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Evidence of a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Article 9 and Prevention and Support certifications (must obtain within the first 90 days of employment)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.A.
