Torch Technologies is seeking an Acquisition Program Manager to join a dedicated team responsible for managing costs and executing acquisition strategies for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Division Long Range Stand Off Weapon Office at Eglin AFB, FL. This role is critical in ensuring that the program meets its objectives and delivers results on time and within budget. The Acquisition Program Manager will also serve as the systems engineer for the team, translating operational needs into program documentation and ensuring that all technical requirements are met throughout the program lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in Program Management, particularly in supporting an ACAT1 major acquisition program. This position requires the development, management, and execution of acquisition strategies for complex systems, ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and meets performance standards. The Acquisition Program Manager will establish and implement a systems engineering approach to translate operational needs into technically feasible, affordable, and operationally effective solutions. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Acquisition Program Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and military personnel, to ensure alignment and integration of program objectives. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the program lifecycle, implementing risk management strategies to address technical, cost, and schedule risks. Additionally, the role involves providing technical leadership and oversight for systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and evaluation. The Acquisition Program Manager will develop and maintain key program documents, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), acquisition strategies, and risk management plans, while ensuring compliance with DoD acquisition policies, regulations, and best practices. Staying up-to-date with relevant acquisition and engineering standards is essential for success in this position.
