About the position

The Hybrid LSAT/SAT Teacher and Tutor at Wayne State University is responsible for teaching LSAT students in a classroom setting and tutoring SAT students virtually. This role involves delivering tailored educational content, supporting students in their exam preparation, and utilizing data to address educational disparities. The position offers flexible part-time hours and includes paid training for both LSAT and SAT content areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach LSAT students onsite in an engaging classroom environment.
• Tutor college-bound SAT students in a virtual setting.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exam prep and educational content tailored to student needs.
• Prepare students for their exams using effective teaching methods and a curated curriculum.
• Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Use data to help close the opportunity gap for underrepresented students.
• Participate in professional training, coaching, and development.
• Enjoy a flexible, part-time teaching schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum ten-month commitment to the role.
• Minimum of 10 hours per week availability.
• Scores within the 90th percentile of the LSAT.
• Must provide scores within the 90th percentile on the SAT or be willing to retest.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager.
