About the position

The LTD Assistant II in Kidney Acquisition is primarily responsible for scheduling patient clinic appointments for transplant and coordinating necessary information, documentation, and record-keeping for this process. The role also involves facilitating communication between Transplant Coordinators and patients, as well as providing reception coverage for the department. This position is a limited appointment expected to last for 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient clinic appointments for transplant.
  • Coordinate necessary information, documentation, and record-keeping for the appointment process.
  • Facilitate communication between Transplant Coordinators and patients.
  • Provide reception coverage for the department.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Experience performing administrative functions and interacting with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
