About the position

Horizon America Staffing is seeking a Lift Truck Operator for a full-time position in a cold warehouse environment. The role involves operating various types of forklifts and equipment to load and unload products, maintain safety standards, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with stand-up reach forklifts and be able to work on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load customer products efficiently and safely.
• Move products to storage areas using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble merchandise for shipping.
• Check or count freight for accuracy and damage.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Conduct operations promoting safety and participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking of products.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Report safety malfunctions on equipment and comply with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Charge forklift batteries as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Ability to work independently and pay close attention to details.
• Ability to meet production standards and work with difficult individuals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with warehouse management systems and related components.
• Ability to relate well with co-workers and respond appropriately to criticism.
