About the position
As a Lineman B1 at Linetec Services, LLC, you will be responsible for building multiphase energized facilities and working on utility poles and fixtures in energized situations. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in the electrical powerline industry, including two years as an Apprentice Lineman. You will report to the crew Foreman and will be expected to follow safety performance requirements while performing various tasks related to overhead line maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Work on utility poles and fixtures on energized situations
- Demonstrate proper cover application and handling of energized multiphase primary conductors
- Frame transformer banks and rotate three phase secondary/services
- Troubleshoot overhead lines and work around covered multiphase primary equipment
- Complete required company training, including safety training
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Follow safety performance requirements and work safely around heavy equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in the electrical powerline industry
- 2 years as an Apprentice Lineman
- All skills required for a Lineman C2
- Understanding of basic electricity
- Knowledge of proper use, care, and maintenance of hot sticks
- Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and activity in the Apprenticeship Training Program
