About the position
The LTS Overhead Distribution Lineman C1 position at Linetec Services, LLC involves performing electrical construction work, including the maintenance of poles, power lines, and auxiliary facilities for electricity distribution. Responsibilities
- Perform electrical construction work including maintaining poles and power lines.
- Build single phase tangent energized facilities above 600 volts.
- Work on utility poles and fixtures in limited energized situations.
- Demonstrate proper cover application and handling of energized primary conductors.
- Test primary lines for grounding and demonstrate proper grounding techniques.
- Frame transformers and install secondary and service connections.
- Complete required company training, including safety training.
- Perform administrative duties as required.
- Follow safety performance requirements and other responsibilities as requested by leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the electrical powerline industry.
- All skills required for Lineman D2.
- Understanding of basic electricity, MAD, proper PPE, and IPP installation.
- Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and activity in the Apprenticeship Training Program.
Nice-to-haves
- CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.
