About the position
As an entry-level lube technician at Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our guests on the road by delivering exceptional customer service while performing essential preventative maintenance services for their vehicles. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry, even if they have no prior experience. Through our award-winning training program, you will acquire the skills necessary to perform a variety of tasks, including changing oil, checking and refilling fluids, rotating tires, testing and replacing batteries, inspecting and replacing lights and wipers, and conducting an 18-point safety check. You will work collaboratively with your team to provide fast, easy, and trusted services to our guests, all while enjoying a fun and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier customer service while performing preventative maintenance services for vehicles.
- Change oil and check and refill fluids as needed.
- Rotate tires and test and replace batteries.
- Inspect and replace lights and wipers.
- Perform an 18-point safety check on vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver fast and trusted services to guests.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends.
- Eagerness to learn and a friendly attitude.
- Desire to be part of a customer-focused team.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above head.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
