Lumber yard worker

About the position

The Lumber Yard Worker position at ManpowerGroup involves handling materials in a warehouse environment, focusing on receiving, filling, shipping, and inspecting orders. The role requires efficient loading and unloading of materials while ensuring safety and accuracy in operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service assistance locating and loading products in customer vehicles.
• Opens containers utilizing hand tools as needed; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Identifies damaged materials and records material shortages.
• Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish tasks.
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles including hand trucks and forklifts.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous forklift experience
• One to two years related experience or equivalent
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
• Skid steer experience is a plus.
