About the position
The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the anticipated vacancy of Lunch/Recess Aide at Chelmsford High School. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget. The role involves providing student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment, specifically monitoring students for safety during lunch and break periods.
Responsibilities
- Manage students during meal service.
- Monitor students for safety and social interactions.
- Communicate with students and staff in a positive professional manner.
- Supervise students during break time.
- Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Experience working with children and/or teens.
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the high school level.
- Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.
